DOBBY NEEDS YOUR HELP!
DOBBY IS URGENT! Dobby DESPERATELY needs somewhere to go!
After being rescued from the Hartford Pound, Dobby went to foster in Massachusetts, where he was cared for by a wonderful woman. Unfortunately, Dobby did not like to share attention, and became very aggressive with the resident dog in this home. Despite the fosters best efforts to keep them separate, Dobby attacked the womanâ??s older female dog, resulting in the dog spending a night in the hospital and him being taken by the local animal control officer. Dobby is now in a ten day quarantine, AND WILL BE EUTHANIZED if we cannot come up with another option for him. He seems to be aggressive with other dogs, but with an element of selectivity to itâ?¦ he was fine with other dogs during the time he was at the Hartford Dog Pound, and it seems that some of his aggression is in part due to his immediate environment/circumstances. We have secured a spot in rehab for dobby, and desperately need help with funding. This is Dobbyâ??s chance for a new beginning. We will also need a foster for him afterwards, where he can continue to grow.
Dobby's original petfinder post:
Dobby is a stunning chocolate brown pittie boy, saved from death row in Hartford at the very last minute. You may have seen this little celebrity on the news during a report on the hartford pound and the 22 dogs needing to find homes within hours. What a catch this boy is! Besides being stunning, this boy is sweet, loving, and eager to please. He loves people, and has never met a stranger! He will roll over onto his back for belly rubs or give you kisses when you approach him. He is what we call a "velcro" dog, always wanting to be by the side of his owner. He is strong, loyal, smart and playful and would do well in a fairly active home. He responds well to correction and loves play or toys as a reward. He is good on the leash, and allows for handling without any problems. Dobby is super sweet and just wants to give kisses all day. He is neutered and UTD on all vetting.
